DNA extraction from plant and oral mucosal tissue

Goal:

Students will be able to observe the genetic content of the cell with the naked eye by performing this test. This test is very simple and inexpensive to perform and students will be able to experience DNA extraction in the real world.

All lab equipment, materials and chemicals needed for experiment, manual booklet, and buffers

Time of experiment: about 60 minutes

Target group:  high school students (first and second level)
